LEAGUE STANDINGS
FALL LEAGUE RULES
League Night Points
3 points for a win; 1 point for a tie; 0 points for a loss
4 Teams will make the finals bracket - determined by the 4 highest point totals. Teams will be seeded according to their points totals.
First round is 9 holes and winners move on to the next round
The Second round is the championships round and is 9 holes
All other teams will compete in a team-style event for prizes!
General Rules of Play
If any shot is not calculated it is deemed as Rub of the green and another shot must be taken with no penalty
Hitting off the tee is only permitted for the first shot (i.e. off the tee box).
Intentional use of the “C” button to view putts is NOT ALLOWED and if used will result in one PENALTY STROKE.
Ball moved off the putting tee cannot be moved more than 1-inch from that black tee
Substitutes
Any player may substitute at any time. Scramble is calculated as normal.
Pace of Play
ALL TEAMS should conclude matches by the designated end time of the league. If there is room, teams may be allowed to continue playing at X-Golf’s discretion
Reporting Standings & Handicaps
The Committee is responsible for posting weekly league standings, player scores.
Format/Scoring
Season: 9 weeks
8 weeks pool play
Last 1 week = playoffs
All teams play 9 weeks
Each Week consists of 2 players playing for the team. Teams with more players only fill 2 players each week.
Players are able to pre-play the round if they are unable to play during league night/times.
Tees Played: Blue will be used for Men / Red - Forward will be used for Women
Handicaps
All players will start with 0 handicap and play 2 weeks
After 2 weeks, the average net score will be calculated and will become the team handicap for the following week
Each week, the last 3 available net scores will be averaged to produce the team’s handicap
Substitutes have no impact on the handicap
All handicaps will be rounded to the nearest whole number
Reporting Scores
Players must do two things to report scores:
Fill out the paper scorecard provided at the start of the league match
Enter the scores into the Golf Genius app
(Optional) take a photo of the screen scorecard for backup
LEAGUE FAQs
How long does the league last?
The leagues run for 12 weeks.
Can I choose any night to play?
Fall League offers Thursday Night Division (7PM must place on Thursday evening) or
Weekday Division (where you can play flexibly during the weekdays).
What if I can’t make it one week?
No problem! You can have unlimited free substitutes, and we also have subs available.
What time does the league start?
Warm-ups and contests begin at 6:30 PM, with a 7:00 PM shotgun start.
What’s the league format?
Thursday Divison uses Match Play with multiple fun formats and Weekday Division does straight Stroke Play against the field.
What if I’m not good at golf?
That’s totally fine! Teams are handicapped, so everyone competes at their current skill level.
What if I don’t have a handicap?
We provide a complimentary 18-hole round to establish your handicap.
Do I have to pay for rounds on top of the league fee?
No, everything is included in the league fee.
Can I refer a team?
Yes, and you’ll receive a $50 referral bonus for every team you bring in.
